G.I. Joe movie update
You didn't really think I'd stop blogging about the upcoming "G.I. Joe" movie, did you?
Despite my Jan. 29 proclamation of having given up on the film, I'm willing to give the movie another chance. Why? Because it's obtained the endorsement of Larry Hama, the first G.I. Joe scribe and main man behind its mythos.
In a video interview posted last month on IESB.net, Hama said although he was initially "apprehensive" about the movie, he's been "happily blown away" by the film's cast and crew, who are "really into" and understand "the core fantasy" of G.I. Joe.
Fair enough. If this movie is good enough for Hama, it's good enough for me. So save a seat for me at the local multiplex on Aug. 7, 2009. I'm willing to pay $10 to see this flick.
But don't push it. I'm not buying popcorn.

Hell no. You always sneak in treats. It's how you stick it to "the man."
